Red wine - ruined?
We accidentally put a good bottle of merlot in the refrigerator a couple of weeks ago and just realized it yesterday. DH said to leave it there until we want to drink it because taking it out now (and having the temperature change) will ruin it. Any one know if this is true. And even if we take it out when we want to drink it, will it still be any good?

Its fine. Take it out like 20-30 minutes before your ready to drink it so it isn't as cool.

Re: Red wine - ruined?
Usually an open bottle of wine is not good after a couple of days...doesn't matter cooled or not.
You will know by when you open the bottle. if it makes a popping noise (almost like champagne) - its not good. Plus you will know by the smell.

Re: Red wine - ruined?
If open a bottle of wine is no good after a day or so. If closed then you should be fine. Usually Red wine is suppose to be drank at room temperature and white is supposed to be chilled but some like red wine cold. Happy Drinking
