Dh question
I have 4 mature eggs instead of the 3 they thought I had. 2 on each side. Dh asked if that increases our chance to 80% because 20% is usually for 1 egg. I honestly don't know what the statistics are. Anyone?

Re: Dh question
I just responded to you on FHF lol...I had to edit my response.
Here it is:
I'll share what I do know- it does increase your chance of multiples. My first cycle with a RE I had 9 mature follicles. The doctor would not let us even try that cycle because the chance was too great that I would have multiples (they also said the chance was greater b/c of my age). I want to say that I don't *think* having 4 eggs increases your chances to 80%. I remember my doctor always telling me 10-15% chance (for me at least) whether I had one or three eggs.

Dh question
it doesnt give you an 80% chance. IUI in general has ~30% success rate no matter how many eggs you have.

Re: Dh question
In general, IUIs give you anywhere from a 10-30% chance of success. Having more follies gives you a greater chance of multiples, but never puts your chances over 30%.
On my BFP cycle, I had 3 mature follies and I'm now pg with a singleton. More follies basically just gives the sperm more targets.
Even with IVF you chances will never be 80%.

Right.. I don't think there's anything out there that gives you an 80% chance!! I mean.. I WISH!!
It's all a crapshoot. The first cycle I got pregnant, we had 3 follicles. I got pregnant with one baby. My other cyclers, I had 5 .. 6.. follicles.. and BF to the freakin N.
What will be will be.. but with an IUI, you're looking at best a 30% chance regardless of the follicle number. Good luck!
