Hi ladies.
I had the scare of life yesterday.
I work in the city and when I got to my office I was very dizzy and lightheaded. I thought being 1 month along and being that it was hot out I would just have some water, splash my face with water and all would be okay.
Boy was I wrong. I couldn't sit up without getting lightheaded and was really scared. 2 coworkers were helping take care of me and they called a car to take me home. Well that didn't go as planned because I passed out in the hallway. Luckily my husband works 3 blocks away and they called him. He came right away. When he got there I passed out again and then they called an ambulance. My neck started bothering me and I thought that I sprained it or something when I passed out.
They take us to St Lukes. They gave me IV and after 3 hours of laying there I started to get gas like pains in my stomach. I had these same pains on Sunday and thought they were gas pains. So I had told the nurse that the pain was getting worse. The dr came in and did a sono and before I know are like 10 drs and nurses in my room and I hear someone say she's bleeding internally get her to the OR. I looked at my husband and was like wth is happening. Turned out it was an ectopic pregnancy and my right fallopian tube ruptured and I almost bled to death. I have never been so scared in my life. The pain in my neck was actually the bleeding and they said it was affecting my spine.
I am not sure where to go from here. I miscarried in Sept and not this. I don't think I can mentally for through it again. I am thankful I have a healthy beautiful little boy who is 2 1/2 and maybe I'm not meant to be a mommy of 2.
It was a scary day/night that's for sure.

So sorry you had to go through this. I went through this last year. I knew I was pregnant (6 weeks) and the pain came on suddenly. My husband came home from work and we went straight to my gyno. They did a sonogram on me and could not find the sac but through urine sample they did confirm that I was pregnant. My doctor told me to go straight to the hospital. Once I got there I ended up fainting and they immediately took me to surgery. It happened so fast and I was so scared (so was my husband). I just looked at my husband and my little one year old girl and prayed that I pulled through it as they say these types of pregnancies can result in death. I lost 2 liters of blood and needed a tranfusion. Scariest day of my entire life. I never ended up getting pregnant again but I am so thankful that I pulled through this. It was horrible emotionally and physically for me. I hope you are feeling okay. I was back home in 2 days. I needed help though lifting my one year old because it was like having a c section all over again! Scary!

Wow, I am so glad you are ok!!
I actually lost a friend from this exact situation... Thank God you got to the hospital when you did!

wow! i'm so sorry you had to go through that and i'm so glad to hear you are ok. i had something similar happen in 2010....i knew i was pregnant but thought i was miscarrying......then my stomach started hurting like you describe and i went to the ER. i was rushed to surgery as well and lost my right tube. it was so terrifying and i was so sad but also so grateful to be alive. if you ever need to talk, please FM me.

First off, Im terribly sorry for your loss :(
THANK GOD you are OK, WOW, that was scary just reading it...I couldn't imagine how you felt going through it...
Please do not give up on your journey to have another baby...once you are all healed (emotionally and physically) then put more thought into it. You are meant to be a Mama...period!

I am so sorry to hear this story and I wish you a very speedy recovery and lots of hugs. I think you were right to post here. Many women here have been through the same thing.

first of all, i am so sorry for your loss
second, while the whole event must have been very scar, I am so glad that they were able to catch it on time to save your life!
While i know your not in the frame of mind to try again now, don't give up hope that the potential to have another child is there for some day ahead. I will definately be keeping you and your family in my prayers for a speedy recovery!
