Re: would you travel to north carolina....
Probably not. That's a lot of time in a car, and it's not going to be comfortable. I *might* consider flying there if it were for something super important.

No I wouldn't. I was also advised by my midwife not to drive up to NY(I'm a NY transplant living in NC) for a wedding at 35 1/2 weeks pregnant, especially since it is my third.

Re: would you travel to north carolina....
I have the exact same situation- We have a wedding in NC 4.5 weeks before my due date. The doctor told me that he would not recommend it, due to:
A long drive becoming way longer by having to stop every hour-hour and a half for restroom and walking break. He said it is risky to be sitting too long.
Also, I dont believe I am able to fly at that point, so thats out of the question.
He said God forbid something happened and I was in another State, it just wouldnt make for a good situation.
So needless to say, no wedding for me

Re: would you travel to north carolina....
I would not. If you're unsure, I'd ask your dr. They usually have some sort of limitation on how far you can travel at different points in your pregnancy.

I wouldn't. I am 20 weeks and just drove 7.5 hours south this past weekend. Since the ride, I have had a lot of pelvic pain that even interferes with walking. I have an appt next week and am just hoping it is nothing too bad!
