Hello everyone,
I will start to TTC this month and I have a handsome boy and would love to try for a girl (#1 priority is that the baby is healthy)..can you please post your  scheduleprior to ovulation?

Honestly, from what i've heard, if you want a girl you should dtd a few days before ovulating. With dd, we dtd the night I got a smiley so technically, she should have been a boy. This time we dtd a few days before o (not trying) and the dr is pretty sure it's a boy. Truth is, it's a 50/50 shot.

I think we dtd the day of O and like 2 days prior.
one method is to dtd the days leading up to O.
there's different methods but they contradict each other though. Shettles seems to be the most commonly followed.
We weren't trying for a specific gender either, but Dh really wanted a girl

there is no sure fire way to determine what position or which days will give you better odds os having a girl over a boy...unless you are doing something very scientifically related where the gender can actually be chosen prior to conception. You'll hear lots of myths and do's and don'ts but none of them will guarantee you a girl. And, if you do get pregnant with a girl, it doesn't mean any of the things you tried actually worked. just that it was meant to be for her to be a "her" and not a "him"

Agreed.
ETS: I have read research (I'm sure you can google this) where the sperm carrying the X chromosome are slower swimmers and survive longer. The boys die out sooner.

We retrieved eggs on CD 18 and 5 days later, we put two back in that were fertilized. 
We didnt plan for girls/boys.. but that was how it happened for us :)
In all honesty, I think you're looking for the shettles method.. i think that's what it's called.

I have DS and DD with DD2 on the way. I know a lot of people say you cannot plan for the sex of the baby, but with both girls I was tracking my ovulation and we DTD around day 10-11 (I o'd on or around day 14). With DS I am pretty sure we DTD closer to the day I actually ovulated. HTH
