Nursery Furniture
I am having such a hard time finding furniture that I like for DD. I found one, but it was $$$ and I couldn't justify paying that right now for just the crib and dresser. I have a small room so I need a rather slilm crib, and that's part of the problem. Most of the ones I like are sleigh, and that just takes up too much room.
Anyway, I went to Bellini, Behr's, and called Albee baby for a price quote but need to start from scrath. The one I fell in love with is just too much.
Any stores in Brooklyn, Queens, or LI that has a display on nursery furniture?

Re: Nursery Furniture
We got DD's furniture a few years ago, but it was a set that I saw in Behr's. A friend had recommended Katz In the Cradle in Brooklyn and we called for pricing over the phone - it came in much cheaper than Behr's.
It is a VERY tiny store - they don't really have anything on display. They go by word of mouth and count on you shopping around first and then calling there for pricing.
I don't remember how much we ended up saving, but it was a few hundred for the Pali crib and changing table/hutch.
If the set you like is from one of the bigger brands, give them a call and see what they can do.
