DISNEY question

I am dying to plan the next disney trip especially witht he new fantasyland opening.

Our older DC will be over 4 but what ages would you recommend/not recommend taking an infant?

My initial thought was between 4 and 8 months because they will somewhat be on a schedule and not crawling so they can spend most of the time in the infant car seat. Make sense or do I have it all wrong?

Re: DISNEY question

Makes sense tome.

My sister went last year, they took their 3 and 4 year o,d boys, but the baby (8months) stayed with family. They went in July and it was way too hot for a baby.

Re: DISNEY question

We just went to Disney with a crawling infant and a 3yo. I was surprised at how easy it was! DS#2 was still taking a morning nap.

Every morning we would get to the park at rope drop. We went on rides altogether and saw a show or two. By 10:30-11, the little one was tired and would pass out in the stroller. One parent would continue with rides with the older DS while one parent rested with the little one. SOOOOO easy!

Now that DS#2 is a toddler and walking, I think it would have been exponentially worse.

DISNEY question

I am taking DS in Novemebr he will be 11 mons and never even thought that it might be a good or bad age. He is great in a stroller and loves to watch people so I think he will be fine. He will be walkign by then since he is startign to now at 7 mons

Re: DISNEY question

We took my DS at 10 months and my niece was on the same trip, she was 4 months. I would say definitely wait until they can sit in a high chair with no problems, b/c this was an issue for my sister.

Other than that I think any age is fine. DS didn't mind at all that he couldn't crawl around too much. There was too much to look at.

Re: DISNEY question

We just got back yesterday from Disney! I went with DH and our 11 mo DS. My mom, dad, 2 younger brothers (16 & 18), aunt, her husband, and my 2 cousins (6 & 9) all were there too. I wasn't with everyone all the time, sometimes alone, sometimes with some, most or all of the family. It was so much fun! It was a little bit of a strain with DS being a crawler and needing to burn some energy everyday, but we did it! We always tried to find a place where he could crawl around. MK - best spot was at the Dumbo ride, there's an indoor play area, also crawled around before the President's show, and there's a spot "the laughing place" at the exit of Splash Mountain. Epcot - he loved to crawl around the Living Seas exhibit. HS - Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area was excellent. AK - not too much here, actually always liked this park the least. Blizzard Beach - played all day in the Tikes Peak pool. We actually never stepped foot into the baby care center either, but each park has one.

We were there in July, and it was hot, but we still had a blast! DS still takes 2 naps, and was able to do so just fine. Someone just stayed with him in his carriage or I wore him in the Boba carrier, which he loved too!

If you have any questions, just ask... I feel like a Disney with a baby pro now!

Re: DISNEY question

we brought my dd at 5 months old and everything seemed so easy with her..... It will be nice to be able to focus on your four year old and making it magical for her at an age where she will be amazed by everything...

I say go for it, and have fun!
