sleeping on your stomach

when did you ladies stop sleeping on your stomach?
It is the only way i have ever been able to sleep comfortably. I asked my Dr when i need to stop and she told me "oh you will know when". It seems when I lay down on my stomach its a little uncomfortable but I am still able to fall asleep and sleep through the night that way...but since it starts out uncomfortably it makes me think maybe its time to try to switch positions?

sleeping on your stomach

My first pregnancy, I stopped around 24 weeks. This time, I still kinda do, but I'm propped on a fort of various pillows so the pressure isn't directly on my belly. Just keep listening to your body and you'll be fine!

Re: sleeping on your stomach

You can do keep sleeping on your belly until you're uncomfortable. And your doctor is right, you will totally know when! For me, it was about 14 weeks.

I stopped a few weeks ago around 22 weeks. Your Dr. is right- you will know. It will hurt. Thats pretty much the reason you can't. Sleeping on your back presents the issue of the blood flow or whatever it is but the stomach just hurts.

I slept on my stomach almost all the way to the end with my 1st. I guess it wasn't technically my stomach because I sort of propped my belly up on the side because it was more comfortable that way, but more or less my stomach.

I'm 16 weeks and still sleep on my stomach some nights. I usually fall asleep on my left side; but i find myself rolling to my stomach. I use pillows to prop myself for support so i'm never really "on" my stomach.
