Places to register - Pros/Cons
We are waiting to register until we find out the sex (2 more weeks) but I have been doing a lot of research online to try to make it easier when we go to the store.
What made you choose BBB vs. BRU? If you have both, what made you put items on one vs. the other?
Thoughts on Diapers.com ? Anyone go with Amazon or any other place? If so why?
I am considering doing diapers.com (great rewards program) and BRU (seem to have bigger selection than BBB).

We went with BBB after hearing storys of bru having different prices in store than on their site and giving issues on registry exchanges even when they had receipts.

BBB has a much better return policy and are much nicer in general than BRU.
I loved my amazon registry for the completion coupon. I actually bought the majority of things from there.
For my first pregnancy, I registered at Target as well. Most of my gifts I received were from Target or Amazon. Target was the most convenient place for everyone to shop.

Places to register - Pros/Cons
I do think BBB is overall better but they only have 2 local locations and it can be really inconvenient for people. I registered at BRU and BBB and most of my gifts came from BRU just becuase it was easier for people to get to. I wouldn't want to only register at BBB and make shopping a hassle for people who don't live near one.

Places to register - Pros/Cons
We wanted to register at BBB but it's so far away and it would have been inconvenient for our families to get there. BRU is ok but it does bother us that the prices are lower on the website. We've been mentioning that to family though in case they'd rather shop online. There is a 'pick up in store' option that would allow the lower price without having to pay for shipping. The other thing that bothers me is I'm starting to get early shower gifts that weren't marked as purchased on my registry. So I'm afraid at my shower I'm going to end up with a bunch of duplicates. I posted about that a few days ago and apparently that has happened to others. I wish there were more BBBs on long island.

Not relevant to original poster, but I seem to remember that with the BRU registry you can go and edit it from home and mark items that you received as received if they are not off your registry. I did that for a few things after I registered.

Re: Places to register - Pros/Cons
I went with bbb & bru. I originally was just going to do bru - im from suffolk so they are everywhere out here and I'd never even been to bbb. But i kept hearing how they have a better return policy, coupons etc and when i finally went there i loved it. I dont expect people that live out by me to drive 45min to the closest bbb and not everyone shops online so i decided to go with both stores. I kind of just split my registry down the middle. Certain items were only IN a particular store (not talking about online) so i started there. Infant car seat, high chair and swing at bru... convertible car seat, stroller, bouncer, pack & play at bbb. Then i just tried to keep them pretty even with a variety of priced items on each registry. im someone who prefers to see an item in person and i know my fam doesnt shop online so a registry that only has an online option isnt for me.

Re: Places to register - Pros/Cons
I walked into a BRU a few months ago to buy something off a friend's registry and couldn't get out of there fast enough. The selection was disappointing to say the least and the store was just overall crappy compared to BBB, which is the store I'm used to.
I knew at that point I'd only register at BBB. I'm pretty sure everyone on my guest list is internet savy, or can get to a BBB. If there's one or two that aren't, whatever.

We went with BBB because you can use BRU coupons and bed bath and beyond coupons. They also have a mich better return policy.

I really wanted to BBB but it's so far away, I also have out of state family that don't have a BBB near them so we did BRU. I also registered on diapers.com. I would have registered solely on diapers.com but wanted to give people an in-store option as well...

Re: Places to register - Pros/Cons
We registered at BBB and had such a great experience. We went to the one in the city, and the consultant was awesome. She spent three hours with us, really helping us understand what we need and why.
We may do a small registry at Giggle and BRU. But, I really like BBB the best.
