This will be our 1st time to DW and I know DD is kinda young for a lot of the rides. I have heard people mention a water park and I'm wondering if this would be a total waste for DD. Is the admission separate from DW? What can very little ones do there if anything? I want to at least know if it's an option if it gets really hot.

The water park is mostly just a bunch of spray stuff and small slides. It's included in admission. I think it's a pain to change, etc., then have to walk around the park wet when you are done.

The water park would be perfect for a 16mo old.

They have a great changing area, so don't let that deter you. I changed two kids plus myself without an issue.

DS first went there when he was 15 months. He rode a good majority of the rides and loved the water park. Due the park at the end of the day and go back to the hotel afterwards if you are worried walking around wet. i will tell you the last two years we were dry before we could exit the water park.

Ditto.
DD was scared of all the rides but she loved the spray area.
We changed in the changing area- no issues.
For her that was the best part.
And there is no extra fee for it- it's part of the general admission

OH and I wanted to add- make sure you bring your own towels!
I didn't think to bring any and thought maybe they'd have towels there that you could sign out- like at our hotel- but no.
So we were towel-less.
But it was so hot we air dried quickly!
