Which cord blood bank?
We decided to bank baby's cord blood. I want to bank the placenta too and I think only a couple of companies do that.
Please let me know which cord bank you chose and why. TIA!

we choose to go with viacord based upon friends recommendations who used them..i dont know many people personally who banked the blood but the the 3 friends
(who dont know each other) that did it all used viacord..they were a little more pricey than otheres but i did find a $500 off coupon at babies r us.

Which cord blood bank?
I chose CBR. I found the representative to be knowledgeable, friendly, informative, not pushy, and just overall gave me a sense of comfort that this was the right company for me. He even provided me information I didnt know to ask such as how many procedures are done at the hospital I delivered at.
I was not happy with Viacord. The rep gave me a price and asked me if I wanted anything else. Didnt offer any further information. Didnt ask my name. Didnt seem too interested in helping me.
CBR also collects 20% more cells than any other company.
And I was really pleased after LO was born. The process was REALLY simple and went very smoothly. I got an email confirmation that it was received. The rep called me a week after LO was born to confirm again it was received and how many cells were collected.
I even got a card from the rep written personally signed by him.
