It all depends on the weather. It's generally a bit cooler than here, but it shouldn't be too cool. We'll be there then and I'm sure we will be down at the beach, though I never swim there since the water is cold all the time to me.

No not at all - we used to go mid to end of August with my parents every year and it was always warm. The only thing you have to worry about is hurricanes. But the weather should still be fine by then. We were there one year for a hurricane and had to leave Cape Cod in the middle of the trip for 3 days because there was no power - but this was a long time ago - back in the early 90's.

generally no but there could be a front come through and then it would probably at the worst be in the mid to high 70s....

It shoud still be hot, and the water will be warmer since its had all summer to heat up.
