when should i feel better?
this is now the 3rd day post ER that i feel like crap. my stomach is sooooo heavy. it hurts to walk. when i pee (sorry TMI), it feels like a ton of pressure. that is my only symptom though. no nausea, no fever. i've been drinking gatorade like it's going out of style.
is it normal to still feel like this or should i be worried?

Re: when should i feel better?
I am not sure what is "normal", but here is how I felt.
For both retrievals, I got between 19 and 22 eggs and my E2 levels were 5500 and 4500, respectively. For both of them, lets say I had my ER on Wednesday. I then proceeded to feel awful (sore and bloated) Thursday and Friday. Saturday morning I woke up and felt pretty much 100% better.
As long as I didn't have a fever, was able to pee, and was not gaining 2-3 lbs a day, I probably would have let it go for 1-2 more days.
Feel better soon.

I felt pretty crappy for 2 days after the ER but then I was fine...Are you monitoring your liquid intake and output...I was actually told to limit the amount of gatorade to 48 oz a day. I would def see how you feel in the next day or so and if you still feel bad def call your doctor. I also used a heating pad and that helped me with my abdomen pain.
Feel better

thanks girls. i'm pretty sure i haven't had more than 48oz a day of gatorade and i'm peeing normally (there's just pressure when i do). i'm so conflicted b/c i'm supposed to go back to work today yet i'm not really sure i can deal with the commute into the city.

Re: when should i feel better?
Totally normal. Today is exactly 1 week for me and honestly yesterday was the first day I felt maybe 90% better. Even today I'm still slightly bloated and in some pain.
My doctor said once you start peeing a lot is when it will get better.
Feel better!

I felt very bad for 4 days, somewhat bad for 2 and then totally fine at 7dpER or so. I got a bfp at 12dpo and by 16dpo the ohss symptoms came back soooo much worse and I gained about 9lbs of fluid. It took a week or so for that to subside. Feel better!!

Re: when should i feel better?
The worst that I felt was after my first IVF from all the bloating. For whatever reason, I didn't have that in my 2nd IVF cycle. It went away during the week. If you think there's something more seriously wrong than what you believe is normal, you should call the doctor!

i actually emailed the doctor this morning and he called me within minutes he said it sounds like a mild case of OHSS which is pretty common and i should feel better by the time the trigger leaves my body. fun times. he did say i should not be working so i'm on the couch watching the hills.....so basically i can't complain
