Anyone not get growth sonos at the end? -UPDATE at bottom
The last growth sono I got was at 30 week appt when they measured head, bones, etc.... They said baby was about 4pounds 5oz and would be mid 8's at delivery.... But thats the last bit of size info I got.
I'm 38 weeks and all I get are My weight, BP, baby's HR with Doppler and a nice internal every week I've developed some nice stretch marks within the past 2-3 weeks and I'm getting scared this boy is gonna be a 9 pounder like DH (and I was 8lbs11oz)... I gain about a pound a week now (26lbs total)
Should I ask DR on Thursday or do ppl not get growth estimates often... I feel like I'm reading that many girls still kinda are being informed weekly ( even though I know they can be totally off )

Anyone not get growth sonos at the end?
My OB doesn't do any growth sonos. Last sono is at 20 weeks unless there's a complication. But I live out of state and it's not common here to have any sonos after 20 weeks.

I got my 20 weeks sono and now i get another one @ 36 weeks for the growth sono and thats it.

Anyone not get growth sonos at the end?
My last one was at 31 weeks (baby was 5lb then-oh boy) and I will not have another one as well. Dr is estimating an 8-9lb baby.

I never had one with my first son. But because I am overweight and there is a new test available to predict the possibility that the baby may have shoulder dystocia if I attempt to deliver vaginally they give me a growth sono to see how big baby is. My weight somehow contributes to the probably that the baby won't be able to get through the pelvis.
For DS2 they predicted baby would be 10 lbs at 40 weeks and would have an 80% chance of shoulder dystocia. At that point I opted for a c-section at 39 weeks and he was 9'4". With this pregnancy my growth sono is Friday so we'll see.

Same here.
Here too. But since my first born was 11 1/2 pounds, the dr told me he would do one at 38 weeks to be cautious. But they have sent me to another dr to be monitored and she decided to give me one at 31 weeks and 36 weeks, to be on the safe side because I wanted a VBAC this time.

I just had one 2 weeks ago (31 weeks) and will have another one in another 2 weeks. Not sure what will happen after that!

if your practice has the capability and you are concerned about size, I would speak with your doctor about doing one.
my son measured 3.13 at 31weeks and was born at 40w2d at 8.7lbs so to me, you are on track for a 9+lb baby.
i firmly believe all my growth sonos were accurate
at 40w he measured 8.5 lbs and two days later, born at 8.7 so i trusted those weights.

So I went to my 38 week appt today... Still no baby action as per internal but I asked him about my fear of large baby with no estimate since 30-31 weeks... He looked back and saw baby was in 83 percentile. He said next week I'll get a sono too with my visit! Yay!

I'm actually getting one this time around on Monday since the baby is measuring 2-3 weeks ahead My doctor wants to see how much it weighs exactly, head size and my fluid level.

Mine is the same. It's a long haul not seeing your little one. With DS 2 I got one though at 37w6d - I had gone to the hospital thinking I was in labor and they wanted to check to make sure there was enough fluid. DS 2 came less than 48 hrs later.

my last sonogram was my scan at 20 weeks. they told me no more unless they sense an issue

My doctor doesnt usually do them. I have some issues with my pregnancies so I have them but it's not really routine.

At my office your last sono is at 20 weeks unless there are other reasons to do one. i only got growth sono's due to GD and pre-e.
It can't hurt to ask for one and tell your concerns of a large baby.
