What is your day like
My DS is 4 months old (but he was 9 weeks early so he's considered only 2 months). I am home for the summer since I am a teacher. I don't know what to do with him all day. He really only naps in the swing. I try to put him in the bouncy seat but that only lasts a little while and then he starts screaming. Basically we get up around 6. He'll sit in the swing for a little bit or he'll fall back to sleep in the swing until about 7-7:30. I then feed him his cereal and bottle. I leave him in the seat where I feed him for a little bit so he doesn't spit up. Then I'll hold him for a little bit. We look at books and then once he's been up for about 2 hours I'll put him back in the swing and he naps. When he wakes up depending on if he's hungry I'll give him a bottle or we'll do play mats. Around 1 I give him his cereal again. Then he'll go back in the swing for another nap. I don't know what else to do with him. He hates to be put down now and I can't get him to sleep unless he's in the swing. I don't know what else to do with him. Do you think I am doing enough with him. I would welcome any suggestions.

Re: What is your day like
put him in the stroller and go out for walks. take him to the park..
i used to take my DS outside with me, just holding him and walk around the yard pointing things out to him. Sometimes just the change in scenery was enough to get him to stop fussing if he was upset
Go do errands. I found that just getting out of the house once a day, whether it was to the supermarket, or post office or even the bank was good for both of us and helped the day go by.
sing songs with him, interact with him and play peek a boo, itsy bitsy spider, tummy time etc
have you considered going to Gymboree classes?

I definitely agree with PP about getting out of the house every day! On days we don't get out the day drags on and I think we both get board.
When we're home I try to vary things but it's tough. I keep a few different bins with toys and books in different places, one in the living room and a few in her room. This way I have different things to pull out depending on where we are and she's not playing with the same thing all day. She plays on the play mat, in the bouncer (she only likes it when she's being entertained), the bumbo, or on a blanket in her room.
Maybe you could try a carrier or sling if DC likes to be held.
