newborn and sleep
When your baby came home from the hospital what did they sleep in? I don't really want a bassinet but what did you find worked best?

We had DS sleep in the FP rock n play sleeper in our room. It is working out great for us!

We use the Arms Reach Mini Co-sleeper. So far so good.

bassinet is a waste. DS used it for 2 weeks and then wanted nothing to do with it. something that rocks is much better

This is what we used for the first 2 months. She outgrew it more quickly than I expected but had an easy transition to the crib. I have the clearvue model and it was perfect.

Re: newborn and sleep
At first her bouncy chair because it was the only place she'd sleep. After a while we discovered the FP rock n play and it was awesome.

Re: newborn and sleep
DD sleeps in a bassinet. I wanted her in something that would be most similar to the crib, as I knew we would be transitioning her around 2 months. She sleeps in it fairly well (as well as a newborn sleeps anywhere, I guess), and naps nicely in her crib, so I hope that the transition goes well.

Re: newborn and sleep
We put her in the crib right away. She slept there for 3 weeks. She was up off and on throughout the night. Then we moved her to the rock and play and she began sleeping through the night! Hallelujah!

Re: newborn and sleep
With DD #1 - the swing for naps for the first few months to distinguish between night and day For night sleeping - the bassinet in our room and then to the crib at 7 weeks
With DD #2 (right now she is 6 weeks old) for naps - the swing again for night - the crib from day 1

Re: newborn and sleep
She is in a pack n' play set at the bassinet level. It is practical because she can grow into it as a "playpen".
