HELP so upset with hair!!

Ok so About 3 weeks ago I was in desperate need for a haircut And single process color for some Greys.
I had an affair coming up plus it's hard for me to get someone to watch dd just so I can get my hair done.

I had a last minute afternoon so I went to y usual place but
My girl wasn't there. (FTR I only used my girl one before I am a pretty new costumer to this salon ).

So I was able to get An appt with another colorist and I had to take it Bc like I said I had A wedding and was in real need for color.

I also wanted A few highlights put in (very subtle). I have OLD Japanese hair straightening left on my ends and I was super nervous.
I Asked the "colorist" About throwing on a few highlights and she talked me into ombré. Now I love that look when they are done right and she assured me that even though I had old JHS it woul be fine

So I agreed

I loved them at first and now I want to cry.

I don't think they were a good Idea with someone with JHS (old or not).

My ends are FRIED. I have shoulder length hair so cutting it more isn't a good option. What can I do????????

I am annoyed. Bc this " colorist" should have known better and so should I. All I wanted was a few highlights on my healthy hair and now I have this! It looks so unhealthy.


Advice!!! What can be done?? I am willing to try anything!!!

I would look into a more reputable salon and have someone fix it. Or complain to the manager at the salon and have your girl fix it.

Have you tried doing an at home deep conditioner?

To be honest, there isn't much you can do to "fix" fried ends- other than chopping them off- which I know you don't want to do..

In the meantime try deep conditioning it- there are SO many products out there for damaged hair and dry ends.
That might help it look better and feel better.

I know Nexus makes some kind of split end repair line now too... I haven't tried it yet but I hear it's pretty good.

Yikes.

I may decide to just go for the haircut option.

It usually grows back fast, and a shorter hair style looks awesome on most people, especially during the summer months.

I would maybe try calling a salon that specialized in the Japanese straightening & ask them if they have any deep conditioning treatments you can buy. Otherwise I would go to a beauty supply place and buy one of their weekly deep conditioners. I have brought my hair back from straw using a weekly deep conditioner & a high quality shampoo & conditioner for damaged hair. In about a month my hair was soft & looked normal.

There is not much you can do for damaged ends other than cut them off -

But you can try a good deep conditioning treatment - one that you leave in w/ your head covered for at least 30 minutes type of deal -

Keratin, keratin, keratin! It's everywhere. Put in on your Ends and leave on for about 30 minutes. And wash it out with Luke warm water.
