has anyone else had a problem with BRU registry gifts not coming off registry when purchased?
It's happened twice already where we received a gift from our registry but it hadn't been listed as purchased on the registry.  It's still a few weeks until our shower (these were early gifts from people who can't attend) and I'm wondering if it was a mistake on the part of the gift givers or on the part of BRU? I know my one friend bought her gift in the store so she might have forgotten to give the registry to the cashier. But the other gift was purchased online and shipped to us, so shouldn't that have automatically come off?
I'm just hoping this isn't happening with other things on our registry too so we don't end up opening a lot of duplicates at the shower. I would feel bad for the gift givers if they saw they weren't the only ones to get us something.
There have been some items showing up as purchased, it's just strange how the two we received didn't.

This just happened at my cousins shower last month. She registered at BRU and got 3 of the same diaper bag!

Yes! It drove me crazy, but for some reason they don't always come off. The good thing is that don't give you hard time with returns.

this is exactly what I am worried will happen! I don't mind making returns, I would just feel bad if guests are excited to see us open their gift just to see us open the same gift from someone else.
I called BRU and was told that there is nothing wrong with their system and that it must have been because my friend didn't give the cashier the registry, which I can see happening. However, I asked her why the gift from my aunt that was purchased online and shipped didn't come off, and I was told it's because there is a button to click during an online purchase to indicated the item is from a registry, which seems strange to me because if someone goes into the registry online and adds something from it to their cart, isn't it obvious that the item is from the registry???? So I tried adding something to my cart from my registry and following the purchasing process all the way through except for entering payment info, and I did not see any button to click or box to check to indicate the item was from my registry. So frustrating!

BRU is terrible about this. If you go to the baby bargain's blog, there's a whole complaint report on there right now with this issue, along with the issue of gifts being shipped without a packing slip indicating who bought the gifts! Apparently they have a terrible system for tracking everything.

Happened to my bf last year. She got like 5 diaper genies! She returned 2 of them. It kinda sucked at the shower at first to see the second and third but by the fifth we all were laughing

Yes this is happening to me like crazy. Good news is i only got 2 pack-n-plays. But other things are being bought and sent to me and not coming off. So I quickly call BRU And have them marked as bought. It is a total pain but oh well.
