Getting really annoyed with ins and drs offices
I have coverage for tests, iuis and monitoring. I got my required referrals, got set up through the infertility line through Oxford and was told that's all I have to do. Just got a bill from my Obgyn bc the iui was denied because it was done without pre authorization and now I got a bill from rsny for $110 for dh's sa. Have to call and argue both bills now bc I've done everything my drs offices and ins company have told me and now I'm getting billed.

Re: Getting really annoyed with ins and drs offices
Just letting you know that our SAs were never covered, though IUIs were.
My RE's finance dept handled all of the insurance and authorization that was needed so I knew they couldn't bill me. I'd talk to the finance dept b/c they are used to dealing with insurance companies all the time.
When you do call Oxford back, though, just make sure you have the preauthroization code or whatever the infertility line gave you and they should be able to clear everything up.

Thanks. We only have 1 insurance and the SA was covered 6 months ago when it was done so I don't understand why this one wouldn't be covered. Dh is dealing with the SA issue I'm dealing with the iui

Is there any chance the dr office just coded the SA and iui's incorrectly? I also have Oxford and they have been covering everything.
