Please remind me how the 1 hr GD test goes
I remember the 3 hour and am hoping and praying I don't have to do it again. I forget how the 1 hour went though . . .
Do they draw your blood then make you wait for the results before you can start drinking? They did this at my 3 hour and it made it closer to a 4 hour test. Just trying to figure out how much time I should allow for the "1 hour".

no they gave me the drink to drink at home before i got there. but you drink it and from the second you drink it, they test 1 hour exactly after that. time wise it is way easier than the 3/4 hour!

That's awesome that they gave you the drink ahead of time! Who gave it to you, the doctor or the lab? My OB didn't give me anything besides a script and I went to a hospital lab so I didn't have anything ahead of time. What type of facility did you test in?

My dr gave me the drink to take home, I had to drink it an hour before I arrived at the dr and they took my blood there. That was Friday, I got the results Monday.

Ugh, that sounds so much easier! I wish my OB did this! I do all my blood work at outside labs and dread it.

When I was pregnant with my DD I had to fast for 12 hrs., as soon as I got there in the morning they made me have the yucky drink, and an hour after I finished it they drew blood.

I test at the doctor's office, too, and didn't get the drink in advance! I sat there for OVER an hour  - my blood was definitely NOT taken at exactly an hour - more like an hour and a half.

my one hour they combined into a drs visit..... so they did a pee test, then glucose drink - had to take it in 1 minute, 1 hr later drew my blood,weight then the dr listened to the baby, measured my tummy size and asked if I had any questions.
only water after midnight, no water once you take the drink.
