Rsny ovulation testing
Hi. im new to all of this and just started a clomid iui cycle. I have the ovulation test kit which says to test more than 4 hours since last urination. It would make sense to me to do this at home first thing in the morning.nhowever instruction sheet from rsny says to test between 8am to noon. This would be harder to do. Im just wondering if i can test before 8am? Thanks.

I'm all a rsny patient and I test about 6am and have had no problems. If you can your fmu till 8am do that but I really don't see how it matters.

If you use the smiley CBE ovulation tests you can use fmu with it

Why aren't they monitoring you with blood/sono to test for ovulation? Are they having you test on your own and come in when you get a  ? I'm a patient there and have never had to rely on a test kit to determine when I O... I wonder why some people have to do this.

I am curious about the same thing. Before I moved on to IVF there, I was doing IUI and don't remember using my own kit for ovulation.

Maybe it depends on the meds. I'm only on clomid not injectibles yet. Personally the opks have never been wrong for me. If I'm not pg this month next month I will be moving onto injectibles and then I will be getting blood work/sono for ovulation.

I was only ever on Clomid for IUI's. It was last summer...it could be that they had me do the same thing and I just don't recall. These cycles blend together after a little while!

Rsny ovulation testing
I did 11 Clomind IUI cycles with RSof NY...
I tested in the morning, afternoon and night from CD11. (crazy) 6am, 2ish, 7pmish (when I was working) othrwise Id do between 11am-2pm and then again 11pm when I stopped working.
But it allowed me to pin point when my surge started. If I got a :) in the morning or afternoon Id make my IUI for the next day and the following (did B2B's)
Our "unexplained IF" was finally "explained" by our 3rd IVF cycle so looking back it was pointless for us to do IUI's due to MI but hindsight is 20/20 :) too bad becuase we had perfect timing...just not perfect swimmers...lol

Wow- thank you all so much for your responses. I'm so new to all of this. I have an appointment for a sono tomorrow but i was also told to use the kit. I'm on Clomid- no injectables. Thanks again.

I think they start you off with the ovulation kit to see what happens...I was a RSNY patient and did Clomid/TI then Clomid/IUI cycles. I was told to do the ovulation kit during my first cycle, but then the next cycle ended up just getting a trigger shot because I didn't ovulate on my own.
