Introducing myself
Hello! I am on the IVF bandwagon again. Someone I know recommended this board. I want to introduce myself. I hope this is the right place for me. Here is my brief history....I will try to make it short!
*Diagnosed with PCOS in 2005. No ovulation ever.
*Provera needed every few weeks to bleed due to no ovulation
*Clomid July '09 and August '09- No ovulation
*Oct. '09- Injectable IUI cycle- Cancelled due to too many follicles (over 20)
*IVF #1- Started stims in January 2010
*ER on 1/16/10- Retrieved 18 eggs, 16 fertilized, 6 frozen embryos
*ET cancelled due to very severe OHSS. Hospitalized for 10 days. Fluid drained several times. 3 blood clots. On blood thinners (Coumadin) for four months.
*2/2010- Diagnosed with POSSIBLE Antiphospholipid Syndrome (blood clotting disorder).
*7/2010- New hematologist thinks I may have a different blood clotting disorder that was not discovered yet....unsure if I have antiphospholipid syndrome, but treated as if I have some sort of possible blood clotting disorder.
*On Lovenox since 8/2010 due to starting up FETs
*FET #1 on 8/27/10 - single embryo transferred- BFN
*FET #2 on 10/8/10 - single embryo transferred- Chemical Pregnancy
*FET #3 on 11/19 - two embryos transferred... baby boy born in July 2011!
*No frozen embryos left.
So that is my history. What is currently happening to me is this: I am working with the same RE (who I love) along with my hematologist. RE came up with a very specialized plan for me since the OHSS I developed was so severe and almost cost me my life. On another note, my husband was totally fine but suddenly has sperm issues so he is dealing with a few things now. The best thing for it is IVF which we have to do anyway because of me! I started Provera last Wednesday and I started Lupron on Friday. I go in again on this coming Friday and should start the stims soon.
