NT Scan
The NT scan is the special downs syndrome screening, right? Is/did DH come with you?

yeah, DH comes to all the sonos with me (but not all of the "regular" doctor appointments)
and yes, it's a scan for chromosomal problems like downs, but they'll also check that the baby's growing well and has all the necessary body parts (including some of the internal organs)

Yes, and no. Unfortunately he cant afford to miss work. He doesnt get paid if he does. So my mom is coming with me.
ETA: weve had 5 u/s already and will have another one next week that he will go to. So its not like hes missing out.

DH comes with me to all the sonos. He likes seeing the baby. I like having him there too for the support.

so far he came to our first appt (got to see the heartbeat), he was going to skip the next one at 11 weeks but when the dr said we will HEAR the heartbeat he said he wanted to come. and he will be at the NT scan and the anatomy 20 weeks scan. the appts after that he will not be at unless they do ultrasounds

Yes and we're not sure yet. He'll be able to decide depending on what is going on at his office that day but we won't know until it gets closer. He skipped the first one but I knew I had a follow up 6 days later so he came to that one.

yup. dh came with me, and will be coming to the anatomy scan too.
fyi, the NT is a 2 part test - they look at measurements via an US, but also have to analyze a blood sample too which takes a few extra days to process.

Yes it's for Downs Syndrome.
If your husband can make it; he should definitely go with you. our U/S lasted almost 40 minutes! Baby was not cooperating at first so it took a while to get the necessary pictures. It's just amazing seeing the baby on the screen! Everytime it waved it's arm; moved around. Not to missed

Yes and yes. Our baby cooperated so the sono was super quick like a few moments but amazing to see how much she changes and looked like a real baby!
