16x20 patio off back of house
Trecks or Pavers ?
Any pros of either ?
Is there a cost difference ?
I have concrete there now. I have pavers around my pool, so I was leaning towards a deck.
Any suggestions or info would be great :)

If you are leaning towards a deck I would consider Trex or another brand that is made of similar material. It is really easy to maintain and always looks nice.

The Pros of having pavers is that you won't need a CO for it. It's the reason we went for this over the trex deck. DH didn't want the hassle to deal with COs with the Town and pay the fees.
I know people can have it installed without the COs, but down the line, it can become a hassle if you ever need to get one.

Just so youi know - a Trex deck is almost double the price of pavers - We just finished getting estimates for both .....
(we are going w/ the deck for a number of reasons that have to do w/ future projects we have in mind)

This also depends on how high off the ground it is and the Town. I know by me as long as a deck is below a certain height you do not need a permit or CO.

interesting.
Can you recommend some of the companies you called in for installation ?
I priced out the Trex material at home depot.
I wouldn't need a permit for the deck, so that doesnt really weigh into my decision. My town doesnt require it.

We had a trex deck put on our house last summer, and we love it! It costs more than pavers though
