BTDT Moms os 2+- Gifts for the older sibling?
If you have an older child, are you getting them a gift from the new baby? This is something my parents did for my brother and I when my baby brother was born, so I'd really like to "carry on the tradition."
If you are, what are you getting them?

i got my dd#1 a baby doll with a diaper bag and little accessories like a bottle, rattle etc etc for the baby doll....she was 22 months old when dd#2 was born....she loved it

DS has been asking to get a specific book to read to DD when she is born. So we are going to have DD 'give' him the book when he comes to visit in the hospital.

When DD was born we gave DS a toy that he wanted at the time from her and he gave her a stuffed animal. We are going to do the same thing this time too.

We gave DS a large box of Legos. He also got a few small cars the day we came home from the hospital.

Doing the same for my DD. She'll be exactly 2 when her sister arrives. I'm also going to have a stash of Dollar Store stuff for her to open when I'm opening baby gifts.

DD got a scooter and helmet from her baby sister! She loved it and if you ask her who it's from she says her baby sister. 
DD1 was 2 weeks shy of 2 when DD2 was born.
