Pediatrician in Merrick/Bellmore area?
I'm getting ready to interview pediatricians and was just wondering if you love yours and would recommend them?

Dr Jassey's practice is where my mom took both my brothers for years. We took a look at the practice and liked it but opted for something closer to massapequa

Pediatrician in Merrick/Bellmore area?
Dr Lanzilotta of Pediatric Health Care of LI is great! DD and ds see her mostly, and then for sick visits we see whoever is available first.
I love that the split up vaccines a little so they get no more then two shots per well visit. she answers all questions and i swear she remembers everything!!

We go to Dr. Zaso in East Meadow. Love him, he's very understanding about splitting up/delaying vaccines.

Pediatrician in Merrick/Bellmore area?
I use Bellmore-Merrick Pediatrics and see Dr. Jonathan Jassey for the well visits. I've seen most of the other doctors or PAs when DS has been sick. The only one I don't completely love there is Dr. Koslov so I request not to see.

Dr. Ashourzadeh in Levittown - Caring Pediatric Associates. Love him. He is absolutely amazing. Very accommodating and is great with children. His staff is great as well very friendly.
He was reco'd to us by Dr. McCarthy in Jericho, who is also an amazing doctor. (She didnt take the insurance we had at the time for DD.) But she's amazing as well, she was my pediatrician when i was a kid and she was my Step Daughter's pedi for a while as well and she loved her too.

Pediatrician in Merrick/Bellmore area?
I love Jonathan Jassey at Bellmore Merrick Pediatrics. Like, slight obsession. He is such a great pediatrician it's ridiculous. He was BORN to do this.
His office is great. Large, clean. Everyone is so nice there it's freaky. Sick room, healthy room. I have never waited longer than 10mins to get into a room- and that was when I made a last minute sick appointment.
Jassey is so informative, knowledgeable, and up to date on current articles, etc. He makes you feel like you're the only patient he is seeing that day. Never rushes you out. My daughter LOVES him. He isn't pushy at all. Seriously, such a great doctor.
The office does vision/hearing tests at 6mos, 1yr (so far that's all I know DD will be 2 in 2 weeks). They have a CBC machine on site, so they are able to take blood and do testing RIGHT THERE so you don't ahve to go elsewhere and wait days for results. At his office, you can get prelimary results in minutes. He also does advanced cardio testing at the age of 5 I believe in light of all the young kids dying for undetected heart issues. So far, he has picked up a handful of kids with cardio issues.
They are open SEVEN, yes 7, days a week. Their hours vary, but I think it's 9-8 M to Thurs, 9- ? friday and 9-12 or 1 on Sat & Sun. There are other doctors in the practice, all of whom I have had great experiences with. I even love the nurses. One of their doctors is always on call, they take turns each night so it's never a strange doctor you've never seen or spoken to answering your page. Someone is always familiar with your child & their record.
The only complaint I have is they don't take debit/credit cards. I NEVER remember to bring my checkbook for sick visits so I feel bad. But they say they will bill you, but I have never received one or been hounded for money. Oh, and the parking lot could be bigger but I have never had a problem getting a spot when I go in the mornings, but I can see it getting hard when it's busier at night.
I seriously love this practice. I have recommended this practice to so many friends and LIF people. You will not be disappointed. When he showed up in cookie monster scrubs with a dog around his stethoscope, answered all the expecting moms & dads crazy questions with patience and never looked at one of us like we were idiots, I knew this guy was legit!!
