Trigger (Novarel) in the arm?
has anybody here SELF injected their trigger intramuscularly into their arm? this is how the nurse said i would have to do it and i'm feeling over it! DH is no help. there is absolutely no way he can do it for me. he almost passed out watching the instructional video.
am i going to be able to do this on my own????

Trigger (Novarel) in the arm?
I have never done it but after seeing how strong the ladies on this board are -including yourself- you can do it! I know you will do it! Take deep breathes and remember this is part of the journey! If you want my Dh to do it we will! Best of luck!

Trigger (Novarel) in the arm?
I did all my injections on my own...and all 3 IVF cycles I NEVER had to inject in my arm nor intamuscularly (excpet progesterone in the hiney) I would call the RE and make sure...I did mine sub-q in my belly. Good Luck,

I triggered with HCG last night and was able to do it in my stomach subcutaneously. Call and ask if you can do that instead.

I've done it in the arm and it wasn't as bad as you think.

Trigger (Novarel) in the arm?
ive heard of trigger in the arm but i would call and see if you can do thigh or somewhere else thats easier to do with self-injection.
but to be totally honest, id tell your DH to get with it and suck it up!!! :-P you're the one getting injected, all he has to do is pull the trigger (literally)!! good luck!

If you have no one else to ask i would call your RE to ask if you can do it sub q. I had my friend who lives across the street come over to do mine in the arm lol... luckily she does that sort of thing for a living.

Trigger (Novarel) in the arm?
thanks ladies :) i have an appointment tomorrow so i will ask them about it then. during my initial meeting with the nurse she acted like it was no big deal to do it myself in my arm, but i watched the video and that needle is BIG! there is absolutely no way DH can help me. needles just are not his thing. and i have a couple of friends i can ask but it all depends on the timing since none of them live near. ugh. this is the one thing stressing me out the most!

Re: Trigger (Novarel) in the arm?
They make everything seem like nothing there But really it didn't hurt. I was terrified of the needle being so big too but I didn't even feel it. It took me awhile to tell my mom to do it but it wasnt bad. I probably could have done it myself. It just hurt like a muscle ache afterwards like the flu shot after. (which is also in the arm muscle).
