Putting a sconce where there isn't one already
We had a nice nautical sconce in the boys room at our old house. It was easy to replace because there was already a sconce there. In our new house there is a ceiling fan but it's one of those without a light and while I'd like something new, it's not terrible looking so it can stay for now. I would like to put up the wall sconce as the main light for the room. Would an electrician be able to do this even if there isn't one there? Also, the fan isn't connected to the switch on the wall. The switch is connected to one of the outlets and it's in a weird place. Can an electrician fix it so that the switch turns on the sconce?
