can we have a foot massage?
my feet just hurt,all day,i think it is from flip flops bc i just hate wearing them but my feet are so swollen nothing else fits
i would like to either go for a foot massage or buy one to use in the house but was not sure if that was OK bc i feel like i read somewhere u have pressure points in ur feet that can trigger something??

My OB told me prenatal massages were fine but not to let them massage my feet. She said it can sometimes cause you to have contractions. I get prenatals without the feet being touched.

Ive gone quite a few times.. there's one pressure point ( I believe in the arch) that should be avoided. The prenatal massages Ive gone for still rub your feet but not as much as a regular massage.

There are a few places on the foot, ankle, and calf that are known to trigger contractions and labor. I don't know what they are (although they went over them in our L&D class, that was a long time ago!) but maybe I'd go somewhere they are familiar with prenatal massage so they know not to do that. Maybe ask the OB first? It might still be early enough that it isn't a big deal. For some reason I think it's worst in the 3rd trimester.

There are places in your foot, such as between the ankle and heel bones, that can trigger contractions. The only massages you should get are from people trained in prenatal massage.

i dont see why not.
i just got a prenatal massage on saturday and it was awesome!!!!!! she spent some time on my feet too. if i can swing it i think i will go back a few more times since fatthead doesnt massage me

If you get a straight up foot-only massage I would try a place that knows pre-natal. "They say" there are pressure points that can trigger contractions or labor, and I wouldn't want to chance it! Why not get a whole body massage and they can spend some extra time on your tootsies.
