Driving to Dutch Wonderland

What is the best route to take if you are driving to Dutch Wonderland from east LI. We are leaving early Sunday morning but I am nervous of traffic if we need to drive through the city.
Anyone take a different route?

Not sure that you have to drive through the city. You can go through Staten Island over the Outerbridge Crossing to NJ Tpke South.

From their website:
New York, NY:
2.5 Hours – 150 Miles
Take the New Jersey turnpike South to PA Turnpike (I-76) West to exit 286. Take 222 South to 30 East towards Coatesville. 30 East freeway will end. Proceed through 3 lights; Dutch Wonderland Family Entertainment Complex will be on the left at the 4th light.

ETA: I would never drive through the city because getting from the East to West Side can be a nightmare.

I always find the drive through the city to be the quickest. Hardly any traffic on a Sunday morning. Coming back is a different story though. That light sucks after coming out of the tunnel, so if the GW isn't backed up, we go that way.
