I put my DD in a gown at night to make for easier diaper changes, and then a swaddle me or a swaddle blanket over that. No onesie.
I agree 100%! DD was born in November and I never put a onsie underneath. She was never cold and I find babies always to be hot. Mainly, bc at 3am when I was changing DD I didnt want anything extra to snap. Most nights we did zip pj's, makes it easier to not turn on the lights during overnight wake up. I was on a mission to be back in bed in 30 minutes!
