Remedy for grown out hilights
My hilights are grown out about 1 1/2 to 2 inches. I hate how it looks.
Dying my hair to my natural color isn't an option as I am 26wks pregnant.
I want to highlight but my biggest reason is the $$$. The last time went for just a "touch up" was $125 - but it was done like regular highlights (not roots). Plus the more i Highlight, the mroe I feel like my ends are getting fried (b/c they keep highlighting the ends over & over)
Also I am sure that if I just go for a touch up roots will still be visible, which I will not be happy with.
I really just want a nice not roots look that ides my grays.
Any suggestions??

You could you have them just do 6 or 8 foils to just fill it in to get your through the next few months.
I know when I just want a "touch up" but not another half head I have a few foils done to fill it in. Somtimes she will through in a few low lights.
It cuts down on costs and keeps from doing an entire head. My ends are struggling right now so I just keep going for minor trims and last two times she did the color she didn't pull it all the way to the ends.

Is it just personal preference that you don't want to dye your hair at 26 weeks? Most women I know (myself included) dyed their hair once they were out of the first tri.

Guess I was under the impression that hair dye (aside from highlights) was a no-no during pregnancy.
I also (1) think I look better as a blonde and (2) think the highlights hide teh grays more.

I was in the same situation with the highlights - my doctor said it was fine to dye your hair while pregnant, just do it in a well ventilated area. I opted to wait till after the first trimester and just had it dyed to natural color the one time so I wouldn't have to bother with it again. You can get highlights also. Some say it's better because the dye is not in direct Contact with your scalp. There some place that use organic hair dye also. If I color again during my pregnancy I'm gonna get the loreal inoa which has no ammonia amd no odor...

I agree with this - I would do highlights, they don't touch your scalp so if you are worried about that it's safer than a single process, and like Mrs213 said, just make sure you're in a well-ventilated area.
