Kitchen Renovation! Rec.'s needed!
We need to renovate our 1950's kitchen. We closed on our house about a month ago, and swore up and down that we would live in the house a year before we did any major work. Fast forward a few weeks--we cannot live with this nightmare!
Can anyone rec a comapny that did work for them? It is a pretty large gut job and will need everything redone!

I'm currently going through the same.
We just ordered custom cabinets last week and the maker will install as well, but we are looking for a contractor to do everything else.

we were too but because of our kitchen dimensions/layout we went with custom.
Kitchen and bath distributors on Sunrise in Bellmore does it all. my neighbor just bought cabinets and loved them and the other neighbor had their bathroom done by them.
Universal Services of LI, Inc. also does everything (they work with Consumers kitchen and bath to buy the cabeints)
also Homecraft remodeling.

You are wise to live in the space first and understand what works and doesn't work. Planning and getting educated is key. These articles might help while in the planning stages.
