I checked my email pretty regularly so I wouldn't have a backlog. I also work from home now, so in my second pregnancy, I had all my work stuff at home anyway.

My first pregnancy, I remember speaking to my boss near the end of my leave because some of my employees had gotten new positions and left while I was out and she was trying to fill the positions before I returned and wanted to run the candidates by me.
