I am going for my first visit with him next week. What should I expect at my first appointment?

He's not my my doctor but I think most first appointments are similar. I did the obligatory pee in a cup, I was about due for my annual pap so they did that as well, they took some blood and then the sono. I ended up having to go out for my sono bc of a fibroid issue but before that I sat with the doctor and he gave me the basic run down about foods, exercise, expected weight gain and what kinds of things I should be concerned about and what is normal. I would bring a list of questions with you just so you don't forget to ask any questions you may have. I didn't write them down and once he told me I had to go out for the sono bc he couldn't see the baby I forgot everything I wanted to talk about.

I use him as a doctor. He is wonderful but very thorough ... Lots of blood work and he likes to see his patients often!! you will get to see your bean a lot !!!
