Cape Cod rental
We're trying to plan a trip to the cape. Never rented, always did motel or b&b. Any suggestions on towns and rentals?
Considering outer cape, wellfleet. Been on weneedavacation.com. Hard to judge.

Re: Cape Cod rental
we just rented in Hyannis on homeaway.com the week starts in 2 weeks the lady has been a pleasure to work with so far...
my family rented on this site for a house in the hamptons 2 summers ago and were very happy!
I was told Hyannis in Cape Cod was a very family friendly neighborhood and centrally located..that is why we picked it!
good luck!

Re: Cape Cod rental
thanks for the tip. It's just the hubs and I. Would love a rental with all of the creature comforts that is a somewhat quiet but near all the good stuff and close to water.

We used to stay ar Ocean edge and loved it. Know people who stayed more recently and were very happy.

Just got back from here yesterday. It was very nice. Grounds are gorgeous and very well maintained. Each unit is independently owned, so you will have to just go with what the photos show. But we were very happy. Very close to the bay beaches, which had amazing flats. We stayed away from the ocean because of the shark sightings. Overall, I felt location was good too for what we like to do.

Re: Cape Cod rental
We stayed at Ocean's Edge 3 years ago. My sister rented two of the cottages on the hotel side of the resort through Leighton Realty. I want to say each house was $2,300 for the week (three bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen and living room with a nice big deck). My sister's house was perfect but ours was not. We needed to have 3 full bedrooms and one ended up being a box room built into the rafters of the house with a small cot bed and no air. There is no way we could have put my 80 year-old uncle in that room. After an afternoon of arguing with the realtor we got our money back and rented a condo on the beach through the hotel directly. That set us back $4,000
We loved Ocean's Edge and I would definitley go there again but if I were just going as a couple I would book a room in the main hotel for the best experience.

Re: Cape Cod rental
I can't believe how expensive some of the luxury hotels are.
Now looking at some nice B&Bs.
