how much should i ask for furniture?

my parents sold the coop where i used to live, that still have some of my furniture in it that i wasn't planning on using but they wanted to keep for showing it.

i'm asking the buyers if they want to buy some of the stuff that is in there, primarily the bedroom furniture and mattress. the bedroom furniture is thomasville, solid wood. it's old (20 years or more) but still in great condition because for a lot of that time it was unused. there are 2 lingerie chests, a big dresser, and a nightstand. there is also my old mattress, which is full sized. it's a fancy mattress, cost around $2k i think when it was new; i got it around 4 years ago but it hasn't been used since last september so it's really only 3ish years old.

how much would you ask for this stuff, either individually or together?

also what is really cool is that the buyers want to buy one of the paintings that is in the apartment; it's one that i did in high school!

I would offer everything for 2,000. I would not charge them for a used mattress no matter how expensive or nice it is. I would personally toss a used mattress that was not from an immediate family member.

I would say $1000 or $1500.

$1000 or so. I don't think furniture at all retains the kind of value people think it does.

i wouldn't buy a used mattress either, but if they want to give me some $ for it, all the better!
