Need Help- how to use these wallcards?

OK- so I have these wallcards- they are 8.5 x 11- what would you do- put them all around the room (there are 26 of them) or just put ABC and then XYZ somewhere?

Those are adorable!

I think I'd put them as a border, with a uniform amount of space between each. Depending on the size of the room and how much you space them apart, they could go around the whole room, or maybe just across one or two walls. You could put them up high or do lower, like chair rail level.

I was thinking about that too- the room isn't HUGE so I think I can do it that way....

Would you frame them?

I would put them in cheap frames, maybe from the dollar store.

I bought some nice wood ones for my kitchen in a $$ store once. I'm sure you'll be able to find something inexpensive if you just look around.

I love these, I got very similiar ones for Aidan's room....

Originally I planned to put them all up around his room, but ended up just putting a few above his crib to break up the empty space (see below) and actually using the rest in the box as big flash cards.

We are rearranging some furniture in his room and he is kinda done with them as flash cards since he knows his alphabet so I might just put the rest of them up where I have room. Chat Icon

ETS: I used the 3M sticky stuff that doesn't harm the wall so I can remove them nicely.

I was thinking that it would be nice to create clusters of them throughout the room. Like maybe 4 or 6 together, lined up s that they look like window panes --some above the changing table, above the crib, etc.

oooh
that could be fun too!!!

i asked DH about framing them and he said he didn't know if knocking that many holes in the wall was a good idea (we rent)....

I think if they're sturdy I wouldn't worry about framing them, especially if you want it to look more like a border. Then there's also no issue with 26 holes in the wall! You could probably Fun-Tak them up.

Those are really cute Dina...I like the cluster idea. Although framing would be nice, since you rent maybe try the sticky stuff to avoid too much damage to the walls.

you can always spell the babies name out and hang it on the wall or maybe the last name, if there are enough letters. you can frame them of just use ribbon to hang them up.

I'm thinking I might try this.
and the good thing about the sticky stuff is I can move them around until I like what they look like.

oh- yes- they are pretty sturdy.

Plain black frames would make them pop off the wall.

If you didn't do a border, maybe take a wall, where they are all very close but evenly spaced and lay them out in rows.

I've seen that look in decorators magazines and it looks pretty cool.
