nice resort on beach btwn Toronto/Niagra and LI?
Does this exist?
We are pretty close to trekking to Cape Cod after our Niagra trip, because I don't know what else to do.
We were even considering somewhere on Lake Ontario, but are clueless about it. I've been trying so hard to find something in Lake George, but nothing is appealing to me.
Do we just need to make two separate vacations?
is Newport RI good for kids?

Re: nice resort on beach btwn Toronto/Niagra and LI?
not sure about LG or LO but i LOVE Newport! i have not gone with my kids yet but probably will some day. I also love cape cod and Nantucket-those are the only places i've been up in NE. both have small towns and beaches. I have only been to Hyannis and Provincetown there and that was a loong time ago. i know there are larger resorts in Newport but we did stay in a B&B. i think there is a large Hyatt in town jutting out into the bay and then a pricier resort out of town called the Castle Inn?? it might have beach cottages too,,,not sure but i think i recall that. might be better with kids than a small place would be.

Honestly Newport seems really boring for kids. Nice for adults though!

Have you looked at Niagara on the Lake, or somewhere near to Rochester, like the Finger Lakes or the Thousand Islands?
