CIO during nap time??
My DSs 6.5 months old and he is a terrible napper. My mom watches him during the school year and created a terrible habit of holding him while he naps. At bed time we can put him in his crib and he puts himself right to sleep. but for naps if I move him an inche away from my stomach/heart beat he screams bloody murder. I just tried putting him in his crib and he cried the second i put him down. Sometimes he will nap in the pack n play but usually that will only last 15 minutes.
My question is... do you do CIO method with naps? If so, how long should I let his crying go on for. He usually naps between 45 minutes to an hour in someones arms. Aslo, if we do put him in the PNP and he naps for 15 minutes to we let him CIO in the PNP or is he up after his nap?

Re: CIO during nap time??
I would love to hear responses to this as well. My DD is 4 months and is a terrible sleeper 24/7. She only sleeps well in my arms or in motion (stroller, car, etc.) and that is NOT a habit I want to create.

CIO during nap time??
I did CIO for naps at about 5 1/2months. My one daughter wanted to be rocked to take a nap. I got tired of rocking and rocking so I put her in the crib and let her fuss and cry. It took 2full days to get hr her used to it. The 1st time she cried 45min an fell asleep. Then the next nap was about 30 min (same day). Same thing for the 3rd nap. Th next day she cried 15min for the 1st nap and 3-4 min for her 2nd and3rd. After that she would go in her crib no prob and fall asleep. My girls are 13mths and take 2naps a day about 1- 1 1/2 each time. And sleep 12hrs at night.
