I've seen some kits but they didn't get great reviews.

I've heard to use fabric markers, I think, and stencils. From where? (Michael's?)

Other creative ideas?

Was it a lot of work to set up/clean up?

My shower is going to be at my SIL's house and I don't want to create a hassle for her but I think this would be really fun for people!

TIA!

For my bridal shower, i had a veil decorating "contest" - my MOH and BM bought markers, glue, stickers, string, and random foam shapes to glue on tulle. It was fun and cute and everyone seemed to have fun decorating. It wasn't too much mess either, even considering the items that were there

here's a pic of everybody fighting over the decorations Chat Icon

ETA: i think a bib decorating station would be a lot of fun - and even better if you could actually end up using those bibs. Fabric markers from michael's would be great for that!

Ha! Cool! Yeah, I think it would really get people mingling too, since I'll have people from random groups or who don't know other people at the shower.

We did decorate the onesies at my baby shower (which was at my house) and it was a HUGE success. The girls who planned it brought over fabric markers and some puffy paints (the puffy paints peeled, though, so fabric paints that are flat, not raised, are better). They also had several stencils. All different size onesies, too! They came out super cute and DD wore all of them!

Are you just getting fabric bibs to paint? I'd do some onesies too, and maybe some cloth diapers that you can use as burp cloths / on the diaper station as a layer. Just for some other ideas of what can be painted and will be usable.

Cleanup was no big deal at all. Although there was a little paint on my tablecloth -- I should've put a plastic tablecloth over my regular one. But it's not a big deal and every time I see the little splotch of paint, I think of my baby shower and I smile. Chat Icon
