Photography Moms- favorite lens?
What's your favorite lens besides the kit lens? I have the canon t1i with the kit lens and a 50 mm lens. I'm looking for another lens that's versatile. Thanks!

I love my 18-135 is canon lens for everyday shooting - for the boys sports I have had good results with the 55-200.

I just bought an 18-250 lens. At soccer games, there's always a combination of DC on the sideline very close to us, and them on the far side of the field. Sometimes within a minute of each other. I didn't want to miss either opportunity.
I used it at a friend's wedding this weekend (I just got it last week, so it was my first real test of the lens...), and I was able to get close-up shots of some of the food that was on the table, and the people that were really close to us, as well as long-distance shots across the room. I was able to zoom real close to the couple during their vows.
So far, I'm very happy with it.
ETA: It's a Sigma, with the Optical Stabilization.

Photography Moms- favorite lens?
I just bought a Tamron 70-300 SP VC USD that they sell in a Canon mount off Amazon. Tamron is doing a $100 rebate on it right now I believe through the end of the month, so it is only $350 after the rebate, which Tamron was very quick to send out. Great lens, sharp, quick autofocus, quiet as all heck too.
