When you go for a manicure and pedicure
Do you always "match" your fingers and your toes? I really want to do Essie Perky Purple on my toes the next time I go for a pedicure. I do shellac on my fingers and there are no colors that exactly match. Should I just get a neutral color on my fingers like nude or white?

I purposely don't match! Don't know what they have in Shellac, but I would do go bright, if they have it, or a neutral like you said

I usually do the same color family but darker on my toes. i do shellac too. i don't know the names, but i have a dark purple on my toes and a mauvey purple on my nails.

Not usually, unless I am doing a french manicure. I usually do very bright on my toes and something light on my fingers.

I don't match - I always do complimentary colors.
In fact, I read that a big summer trend this season was to have opposite colors on the color wheel.

This. But, if there was a color I loved that came in 2 shades, I would consider doing the darker shade on my toes and lighter shade on my nails. Like bright pink/light pink or dark purple/lilac

I rarely match.
Right now my toes are bright fuschia and my fingers are coral.

wow.........it honestly never occurred to me NOT to match  . I'm surprised there are so many of you that dont. Maybe this weekend, I will be bold like you ladies and try 2 different colors.

same here!! I always thought to match but like someone else said...there are so many colors that I like I should try 2 different colors! Thanks for the responses!!

Now I have Essie "absolutly sure", it's a nice light green

The only time I don't match is when I do neutral on my hands and a color on my feet.
I thnk it would bug me to have 2 completely different colors on.
