Can I bring DD in the pool on Wed?
My DD will be 8 weeks on Wednesday... Going to a friends house who has a pool... Can I bring DD in? I have a big floppy sun hat& rash guard bathing suit to protect her from the sun, & my friends pool is obv clean & not germy, but do u guys think DD will be ok with the chlorine? What would you do/have u done? Am I being too laid back?

I wouldn't, and I am pretty laid back. i feel like the baby is too young for the chlorine.

DS had his feet in around 3 months and that was it. Only for a short moment and we took a picture.

Ask your Ped. Mine was ok with it but we had to rinse him after. And keep head out so he doesn't swallow any water

my ped said absolutely not! i was actually suprised..he said he would get sick from chlorine..and he is pretty laid back.

I wouldn't feel comfortable. Besides the chlorine, I feel like the water might be too cold for baby. My son was born early summer and I just waited until the following summer to put him in a pool.

Same here.
The biggest concern I would have is they have very little fat on their bodies & will lose body heat very quickly.
I'd ask your pediatrician.

We had DD in during the summer she was born BUT she wasn't really in.
My dad would hold her and MAYBE dip her feet in the pool here and there.
She wasn't submerged or anything.
Also, we don't use a traditional cholrine santiation system in our pool so our cholrine levels are super low.
