Italy experts.....Tuscany in February?
I was thinking about going to Italy during February break (I'm a teacher). I was thinking of spending two nights in Rome and the rest in the Florence area. Will the vineyards be open? Should we plan to go during Easter break instead?

I agree not sure about the vineyards - but I have been in February, April and studied for 6 weeks in Florence in June/July. I would definitely pick April over February. February - the weather will average in the upper 40's but in mid April will average in the 60's. Much more pleasant for touring.

My niece lives in Florence. She said they've had a pretty bad winter this year and February tends to rain a lot. This year they had a lot of snow through spring. If you go during Easter the weather of course is better. Lots of festivals & processions going on it's a great time to visit. If you want more info or thinking about a tour guide FM me. She does it on the side.
