Cleaning
If you use a company like Molly Maids, do you tip the people that clean each week? I asked the owner and she said it's customary, but I feel like for the crazy price we are paying it's ridiculous to tip on top of that....

I was just about to ask this question. We are getting an estimate this weekend for a one time cleaning on our new home for Merry Maids. I was going to do it myself, but the house is BIG!!!!

I tip every time. I hate to do it in addition to what I am already paying but it seems like they expect it.

I don't tip on top of the rate. I use a company as well but the owner is the one who cleans my home, along with another employee. I never even thought about tipping on top of the rate.

i've used a few, and it's usually the owner who does the job, so in this case, i have not tipped.
there were times employees came, and i tipped them, especially because i asked for specific extras like, the inside of cabinets, frige & windows - things they didn't normally do.
