NY to FL - what order should we do this?

I am trying to convince DH to DRIVE to FL. We have done NY to KW a few times and loved it but that was before DD (who will be 2.5 at the time we travel)

We want to do a few things:

Visit family in Naples FL (for a weekend)
go to Disney for 2-3 days
go to Key West for 6-7 days

I am trying to think of the easiest way to break this up. . . maybe drive all the way down to Key West and then come back up North and hit Naples then Orlando . . .

We plan on breaking up the drive in Santee SC

Any suggestions? Other than fly?

I would maybe do family first, then Key West, and then on the way back up do Disney. That way you have mini trips before and after your longest stay.

I was thinking of Key West last.. its the longest stretch and its the most relaxing... the only down side is that its the longest ride home...

It also depends on who you like more Mickey or family?

but the plan the PP mentioned.. Family then key west and disney on the way home will really break up the driving nice and you can get the family thing out of the way.. then relax for a nice week and end your vaca with a "bang"....

I'd do family first for a break in driving, then drive to Key West, then use Disney as the break on the way back.

love family, but thats definitely more of an obligation since they have never met DD. . .i keep hoping they will say "hey lets just meet at disney!" lol

I would do Naples..Key West then Disney on the way home.......Check out I-75 going down to Naples so you dont have to cut across Fla form East to West...Then continue to Key West and do Disney on way home since you can take I-95 home....

Well you could do family 1st or last but I would say this - if I had the choice I would do disney before key west - because you will probably want the more relaxing part AFTER running around in the parks - so maybe family 1st, WDW then key west.

DH's family just got back to us, said we could stay there which is a major score (I of course offered to stay in a hotel but was secretly hoping to get some free nights out of the deal LOL)

I am getting excited. . .usually we just head straight to Key West and stay for two weeks. . .this is going to be more hectic but I think it will be a blast!

If we do Disney last we MAY be able to come home without an overnight. . .we'll see!

I would go straight to KW (95 all the way down), Naples and last Disney
