Delay beach
We are going down in December. Everything I see is mostly animal related and ds isn't big on animals. Any suggestions?

Re: Delay beach
Do you mean Delray Beach, Florida? I love Delray Beach, but there is not a lot for little kids to do. The beach there is awesome. Does he like playing in the sand?
There is a nature house there and it is not just animals. They do exhibits on plants, shells, nature walks, astronomy and photography.
Old School Square Cultural Arts Historic Center always usually has something fun for kids, but not sure what they will be featuring in December.
There are some playgrounds in the area, by the intercoastal/marina I believe.
There is a historic trolley tour.

Re: Delay beach
My ILs live in Boynton Beach.
School house museum
My kids like to walk through Wakodahatchee Wetlands & Green Cay Nature Center. You see a lot of birds & we've seen alligators a few times, but they really like the super long boardwalk that you meander along.
Going to the beach along the intercoastal.
Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens are beautiful.
There's supposed to be a good science museum in West Palm.
We've done a day trip to Port St. Lucie to see the Mets during Spring Training.

Re: Delay beach
As far as activities... thats a tough one. i agree with both PP's....
but whatever you do... take the 20 min ride up to John G's for breakfast one morning. They moved about 2 miles from the original location but they are still amazing! You will NOT be disappointed! They were always a cash only business.. and go EARLY there is always a line.

Delay beach
We stay not far away in Pompano Beach every year, its close to Fort Lauderdale and there is a great kids museum there, worth the trip.

Re: Delay beach
also- outside the vicinity there is a boomers in fort lauderdale and one in boca raton, not sure which you will be closest too, depending on where in delray you'll be staying...
boomers has kiddie rides and games - it is like an arcade and mini-amusement park

Re: Delay beach
Thank you everyone. It is Delray beach...damn autocorrect on the iphone :) We are not against taking side trips as we will have a car so anything 2 hours or less is fine as well. No Disney b/c we can't afford it but we were thinking of Lego Land.
