Waterproof mascara
do waterproof mascara really work and what's the best kind. i have to go to a wedding soon and i don't want the masacra to run

They seem to work for me. The only onethat didn't was Maybeline Great Lash. I like Covergirl Lash Blast 24 hour or L' oreal Double extend but it depends what you are looking for Ina mascara. Length, volume, definition, etc.
I find the runny make up look comes more from eyeliner for me, so I prerfer a liquid for events.

I never had luck with waterproof until I (recently) bought L'Oreal Voluminous False Lashes Waterproof. I teach some swim classes during the week and that stuff doesn't budge!!

I always use this mascara and read on another forum that waterproof versions keep the curl better so I bought it. So far, so good. Really like it, i still pick off pieces of mascara the next day, doesn't budge!

i have long lashes. i just don't want it to run in case i cry:)

I use Mabeline and it never runs. I have slept with it on and it was fine the next morning!
ETA: It also lasts through my workouts.
