What to wear?

I am going to a casual backyard wedding in August. I just found out that the wedding is going to be way more casual than I thought (the "theme" is hot rods and bikers - the bride & groom are really into their Harleys and muscle cars) This is totally not my style - I am pretty much a girly-girl and figured a cute sundress would be good to wear. Now I find out about this "theme" and that most everyone will be wearing "biker gear." Any ideas on what to wear would be very appreciated!

I'd probably still wear a dress--maybe something a little on the short & tight side if you are comfortable with that.

Like this, from ModCloth

I would still wear a dress, but maybe something a little more edgy.

I actually heard that one woman is going to wear black leather short shorts! Chat Icon So not my style!

Thanks for the suggestion - that's a cute dress, but a little tight for my "problem areas"

Re: What to wear?

If you have a cropped leather motor cycle jacket you could pair it with a short dress that was shown above and a pair of ankle boots.

OMG I am in love w/ all of these -

Just b/c there's a 'theme' doesn't mean you're required to dress for it. Did they say it was a costume party? B/c if I busted out in that dress, a leather jacket and ankle boots, I would personally feel like I was wearing a costume .......KIWM?

Wear what you are comfortable in - You can still wear a sundress -

Love all of these! Thanks!

I know I don't have to dress exactly to the theme, but I also don't want to totally stick out. As for the leather jacket & boots - cute, but its the middle of August, outside in their backyard, so it'll probably be very hot.

There is proabably going to be a lot of black
(even though it is august), so if you went with ones of these dresses I would go with one of the black ones if yoo don't wnat to stand out. Or even if you go with whatever type of dress you like, you can get closer to the theme by wearing a black one.

Another thought is maybe an animal print?

Are there going to be other guests who are not part of the biker crowd?

Not a animal print, but this one I like because the sort of bustier bodice makes it a little edgier, and it's dark, but still kind of sumery & sundressy.

ITA. Wear something that YOU feel comfortable in. I think a black sundress and wedges are fine.
